Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Majoring in or having majored in STEM
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Working proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and with Microsoft Office and Project products.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Must have ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • For Facilities Engineer: Bachelor of Science in STEM discipline with 2+ years of experience in Reliability, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Aerospace, Electrical, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Controls or a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with risk assessment processes.
  • Experience in a production manufacturing environment including knowledge of CNC machinery, high vacuum systems, and heat treating.
  • Proficient in the use of computerized maintenance management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for equipment design and layout.
  • Prior experience in reliability engineering with the defense, aerospace, or med-tech industries.
  • Experience in installing, commissioning, and maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Sound understanding of primary construction disciplines.
  • Ability to troubleshooting CNC machinery and high vacuum pumps such as roughing, turbo, and diffusion pumps.
  • Demonstrated expertise in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc), HMIs, and industrial automation systems

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues, improve equipment reliability, and provide technical guidance.
  • Perform Equipment Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and implement robust corrective and preventive actions to enhance system reliability.
  • Conduct project planning, budgeting, contract management, and oversight of project execution.
  • Ensure correct preventative maintenance procedures are in place and recommend necessary spare parts to keep the plant operational on a 24/7 basis.
  • Prepare presentations and reports detailing the Operational Equipment Effectiveness on all machines.
  • Aid in developing standard specifications for all future equipment purchases.
  • Partner with EHS on all facilities and projects to adhere to local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or general contractor vendors as needed.
