About The Position

The SPX Engineering Development Program (EDP) is a two-year program designed for recent engineering graduates to foster learning, challenge, mentorship, and success. It serves as a premier entry point for product design or manufacturing engineers with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in various engineering disciplines. The program includes four distinct developmental assignments, advanced professional training, and/or related certifications. Participants gain key exposure to engineering executives and business unit operational leaders, receiving a "big picture" view of the SPX business through hands-on experiences in multiple technical areas. Rotations are tailored to business unit needs and individual engineer objectives, with a focus on developing competencies in leadership, self-motivation, teamwork, problem-solving, innovation, communication, and cross-functional learning. Mentors are assigned to guide development, and regular feedback is provided.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Relevant internship / co-op experience.
• Adaptable, flexible and able to work in changing work environments.
• Willingness to travel to or potentially reside in different geographic locations during the program.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Technical knowledge.
