The James Hardie Engineer Development Program (EDP) is a two-year training program designed for engineering graduates to build a strong foundation for their careers at James Hardie. The program offers hands-on learning, practical training, professional collaboration, and ongoing mentorship across manufacturing, corporate, and innovation-focused environments. James Hardie's dynamic culture and pursuit of innovation create a supportive environment where creativity, inquisitiveness, assertiveness, proactivity, collaboration, and resourcefulness are encouraged. The first year involves rotational training at a U.S. manufacturing location, providing immersive experience in fiber cement and/or polymer composite manufacturing processes, with exposure to innovation culture, professional development, and plant operations. Graduates will apply acquired knowledge to projects supporting manufacturing process design, reliability, operations, optimization, and continuous improvement. The second year involves assignment to a role supporting the Operations function at a North American James Hardie location.
