About The Position

United Integrated Services (USA) Corp. is seeking an Associate Engineer Cleanroom to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Cleanroom systems in a cleanroom environment, ensuring compliance with semiconductor production regulations and standards. Experience in Cleanroom construction is highly desired. This role involves performing requirements classification of clients, communicating project requirements and design review with internal & external design teams for Cleanroom systems, and clarifying specifications with stakeholders. The position also supports the procurement team with equipment and materials and assists in contractor awards. Understanding of isometrics, P&ID, and CAD drawings specifically for Cleanroom systems is crucial. The role includes reviewing, approving, and overseeing the installation of Cleanroom systems, inspecting work in progress, reviewing progress reports, and managing RFI and change orders. Reporting, problem-solving, scheduling, and estimation are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil or electrical engineering.
  • 1-3+ years of experience Cleanroom system planning.
  • Construction experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or others.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
  • Effective English verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor construction, a plus.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin/Taiwanese is a plus.
  • Start-up experience.
  • Verbal communication skills in Mandarin.
  • Professional Engineer license.
  • May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform requirements classification of clients, communicating project requirements and design review with internal & external design team for Cleanroom system.
  • Perform the required scope of work and clarify specification with stakeholders.
  • Assist procurement team on Cleanroom systems equipment & materials and assist in contractors’ awards.
  • Understand isometrics, P&ID and CAD drawings specifically for Cleanroom systems.
  • Review, approve and oversee the installation of Cleanroom systems.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms with specifications and assure adherence to construction schedules.
  • Review progress reports, materials used and costs, contract payment application, and adjust work schedules as indicated by the reports.
  • Review & reply RFI (Request for information) and change orders.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal use and client communication.
  • Identify and solve problems.
  • Scheduling and schedule execution.
  • Understand drawing and review specifications and estimation.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
