About The Position

The Associate Director at AoPS Academy’s Carmel Valley campus assists with administrative and logistical operations, teaches weekly math and language arts classes, and partners with the Campus Director on hiring and training part-time staff and teachers. This is a full-time, year-round position covering both the academic year and summer. The role combines classroom instruction with campus leadership and operations. The Associate Director teaches AoPS curriculum in dynamic, participation-oriented classes; supports prospective and current families; assists with enrollment and sales; and helps develop campus community and student retention. During the academic year, the schedule is nontraditional because most classes and family meetings take place in the evenings and on weekends. Summer hours typically follow a more standard Monday-to-Friday schedule. AoPS Academy is a year-round educational enrichment program and part of Art of Problem Solving, which provides advanced K–12 education through curriculum, online instruction, and local academies. Its small classrooms offer math, science, and language arts for students in grades 1–12.
