We work in the community and on virtually every UCSF campus – Parnassus, San Francisco VA Health Care System, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, Mission Bay, and UCSF Center for Geriatric Care. The Division has over 130 employees including faculty, volunteer clinical faculty, fellows, staff, student interns and volunteers. We are deeply committed to, and will champion, diversity, equity and inclusion as our core mission. We will nurture and grow a culture in which everyone from all backgrounds is welcomed, supported, respected, and valued! The Caregivers As Partners in Care Teams (CAP-CT) Program is a DHHS-funded cooperative agreement with the Administration for Community Living to realize the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers by creating a national educational program, “Caregivers As Partners in Care Teams.” This program is led by a Principal Investigator at UCSF, who will lead curricular development and the focus will be on teaching health care teams on how to assess caregivers and incorporate them into care. To reach national scope, this is a collaboration that brings together educators and experts across multiple UCSF departments (DGIM, the Global Brain Health Institute, Institute for Health and Aging, Institute for Health Policy Studies) and institutions (UC College of the Law, the Division of Geriatrics at UC Irvine, Archstone Foundation).
