About The Position

At Lilly, the Associate Director - Workforce Solutions and Redesign turns task-level understanding of work into practical solutions that create speed for the business. This is a solution-design role focused on building tools, workflows, and processes—not simply reporting or analysis. The role requires thinking in workflows, identifying how technology can support the work, and advocating for effective use of AI and automation across HR. The position operates in areas where processes and answers may not yet exist. The role holder develops and tests early versions with real users, learns from their experience, and iteratively improves solutions. They lead work redesign with functions and HR partners, use an understanding of tasks, skills, and job structures to ground solutions in how work is actually built, and partner with internal technology teams and external vendors to deliver enabling tools. The role also builds the ability of business leaders and HR partners to act independently through education, upskilling, and usable tools. It leads complex projects, anticipates operational and technical challenges, and helps turn opportunities identified through workforce data into delivered solutions. The anticipated wage is $132,000–$193,600. Full-time equivalent employees are eligible for a company bonus, depending in part on company and individual performance. Lilly offers eligible employees a comprehensive benefits program.
