Associate Director - US Supply Chain

Eli Lilly and CompanyIndianapolis, IN
$127,500 - $187,000Onsite

About The Position

Lilly’s US and Puerto Rico commercial operations depend on a precisely managed supply chain to get medicines to patients on time, every time. As Associate Director of US Supply Chain, you will own the end-to-end planning infrastructure that makes that happen — from consensus demand forecasting across all US Business Units to replenishment execution, inventory optimization, and supply risk mitigation across a portfolio of trade and non-trade SKUs. This is a high-accountability, high-visibility role. You will be the connective tissue between Global Supply Chain, manufacturing sites, US Commercial, and Finance — and you’ll be expected to drive outcomes, not just coordinate conversations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or medical device supply chain experience with direct ownership of demand forecasting and inventory replenishment
  • Hands-on SAP experience (IBP or APO strongly preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)
  • Experience with advanced planning platforms (Kinaxis, o9, Blue Yonder, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with OSSCE processes and pharmaceutical compliance documentation
  • Demonstrated proficiency in S&OP/consensus forecasting processes across multiple business units
  • Experience managing MTO and MTS portfolios with complex lead time and manufacturing site coordination requirements
  • Spanish proficiency for coordination with Puerto Rico affiliate operations
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain SKU-level monthly demand forecasts for the full US portfolio across all Business Units, using a systematic consensus process with commercial and finance partners
  • Own forecast accuracy metrics and drive continuous improvement through structured review cycles
  • Provide demand risk assessments to manufacturing plants to support production planning decisions
  • Accountable for ensuring no product falls below 14 days of stock (DOS) at NALO — monitoring the US Short Report daily and executing corrective actions before breaches occur
  • Lead the annual safety stock and SOQ review process, including negotiating changes with Global Supply Chain and manufacturing
  • Own PO creation for the MTO portfolio, ensuring alignment with commercial needs and lead time requirements
  • Proactively manage the CPIR report from PBI and lead regular supply risk huddles with cross-functional partners
  • Coordinate with manufacturing sites and supply planning teams to confirm supply availability, delivery schedules, and accurate dates across MTS and MTO portfolios
  • Collaborate with GLX and NALO to align warehousing and transportation capacity and develop mitigation strategies ahead of constraints
  • Own the US Affiliate OSSCE process, certification, and ongoing system maintenance
  • Ensure full compliance with supply chain policies, procedures, and documentation standards

  • flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts)
