About The Position

The Undergraduate Enrollment Division at the University of Notre Dame works to open doors to a Notre Dame education, empowering students to pursue, discover, and share knowledge, truth, and faith as a powerful means for good. The division is committed to ensuring that the Notre Dame undergraduate student body represents the fullness of gifts of the human family, creates socioeconomic mobility for students from all pathways, and celebrates the global Catholic community on its campus. This role, reporting to the Sr. Director of Recruitment, Strategic Partnerships, and Scholarship Programs, will invest in and deepen relationships with strategic partners, including community-based organizations like Matriculate, the Cristo Rey Network, and the Nicholas Academic Centers, that drive the recruitment of a robust, academically qualified, mission-aligned, global applicant pool. Additionally, the Associate Director will work closely with the Sr. Director to launch and maintain meaningful global scholarship opportunities that include specialized fellowship, mentorship, and access to exclusive campus programming.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
  • Minimum of three years' professional experience in admissions or a related area
  • Excellent time management and perceptive interpersonal abilities
  • Operate effectively in both independent and team environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written) in both individual and group settings (in-person and virtually)
  • Successful leadership experience in admissions or a related area
  • Knowledge of and experience with computer systems and software applications, especially Microsoft Office and Google
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of prestigious scholarship programs that help attract, recruit, and support highly talented, high-potential, and mission-aligned students to the University of Notre Dame. Key programs may include the Notre Dame Scholars' Program, QuestBridge, University Merit Scholarship Programs, and the Cristo Rey Scholarship Program.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of scholarship agreements, eligibility requirements, and program expectations; managing scholarship provisions and related processes; and serving as a primary point of contact for students and campus partners.
  • Help ensure a positive scholar experience while supporting the University's broader enrollment and student success goals.
  • Partner with colleagues across Enrollment and campus to develop and execute engaging programming for prospective and current scholars and other strategically important student populations.
  • Coordinate and support hosted visits, fly-in programs, scholarship events, and other recruitment and yield initiatives designed to showcase the Notre Dame experience and strengthen student engagement.
  • Support the cultivation and expansion of relationships with community-based organizations (CBOs) and strategic partners that align with the University's enrollment goals.
  • Assist with outreach efforts, relationship management, college readiness programming, student and counselor visit experiences, and engagement strategies that help students navigate the college search, admission, financial aid, and enrollment processes.
  • Leverage data to support recruitment strategies, program evaluation, and division-wide goal setting.
  • Develop reports, analyze trends, and identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Continuously assess and refine processes related to scholarship administration, event planning, partnership engagement, and funding requests to enhance efficiency, scalability, and overall impact.
  • Identify emerging opportunities, gaps, and areas for innovation that support Undergraduate Enrollment's strategic priorities and objectives.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new initiatives, partnerships, and programming opportunities designed to strengthen recruitment efforts, improve student engagement, and maximize institutional impact.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainable solutions and programs that demonstrate measurable value and align with the University's mission and enrollment goals.
