Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and optimizes the sourcing of technical products and services from carriers for data access, ensuring cost-effective contracting, quality, and compliance with standards to support organizational objectives.
  • Lead and oversee strategic technical sourcing initiatives for contracting data with carriers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards through supplier rationalization and selection.
  • Prepare, negotiate, accept, and manage commercial carrier contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements, and monitor agreements to protect AT&T.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives, manage activities to enhance operational efficiency, and execute transformation/optimization projects to support evolving network requirements and critical program objectives.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements, and use client satisfaction surveys and project monitoring to resolve issues and measure success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, oversee carrier performance, partner with other business units to align sourcing activities with business objectives, and advise upper management on contractual rights and obligations.
  • Oversees operational aspects of the department, focusing on the day-to-day management of related initiatives. This role is primarily concerned with the implementation and execution of strategies developed by higher management.
  • Typically leads entry-level and career-level staff within the organization.
  • Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates.
