The Associate Director of Strategic Project Management serves as a critical liaison between the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine, the School of Medicine, and the Office of Strategic Initiatives, facilitating coordination of high-level projects and best-in-class stewardship for an institutional transformative donor. This role will partner closely with senior leadership, including the office of the SVP of Development & Alumni Relations; the office of the VP of the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine; the office of the Dean of the Medical Faculty; and administrative, facility, and clinical leaders to create strategic and tactical stewardship and engagement that provides comprehensive updates on programs and projects and celebrates the donor’s impact. Success in this role will require excellent verbal and written communication skills, relationship building, project management skills, sound judgment, and discretion. In addition to the duties described above, the Associate Director will: Lead project management and on-the-ground execution of projects and initiatives across Johns Hopkins Medicine for the Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI). OSI manages Johns Hopkins’ relationship with a transformational donor, providing comprehensive stewardship, proposals, and strategic leadership for all activities related to the donor. Support a unique portfolio of development-related and capital projects across Johns Hopkins Medicine, overseeing program and research investments and providing behind-the-scenes support and facilitation for key initiatives and stakeholders. Partner with senior leadership to design and execute strategic stewardship plans and engagement touchpoints that celebrate the donor’s impact and deepen the relationship over time. Employ advanced communication skills, written and verbal, to ensure alignment, coordination, and effective communication across teams, synthesizing complex information into clear, compelling narratives that highlight donor impact on research, clinical care and education, and key achievements in Johns Hopkins Medicine. Have a strong presence across the organization and requires relationship-building and discretion, as well as curiosity and initiative to become deeply connected to the work supported by the donor and consistently share timely, accurate, and meaningful updates to OSI.
