About The Position

Peachtree Road United Methodist Church (PRUMC) is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Youth Ministry to join their team. This role is for a large, active, and growing traditional church in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students grow in their faith within the United Methodist tradition, be a self-starter, relational, and a team-player. The position involves working with students, parents, and volunteers, and requires experience in recruiting and leading volunteers, as well as planning and executing trips and events. Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of youth ministry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead PRUMC’s year-long Confirmation program for 6th graders.
Recruit, equip, and support an adult teaching team for the Confirmation program.
Coordinate curriculum, teaching schedule, and weekly logistics for Confirmation.
Plan and lead the annual Confirmation retreat and Confirmation Sunday service.
Lead the recruitment and development of adult volunteers (“shepherds”).
Invest in volunteers relationally and equip them for effective ministry with youth.
Recruit and mentor college students in the school-year internship program.
Assist the Director and grow the Youth Leadership Team.
Develop student leaders through training, mentorship, and leadership opportunities.
Serve as a primary leader for female students during local and global trips.
Provide relational support, guidance, and pastoral care to middle and high school girls.
Participate in planning and execution of trips and retreats.
Collaborate with youth ministry staff on weekly programming and special events.
Contribute to the overall vision and direction of the youth ministry.
Other duties as assigned.
