About The Position

Kikoff is seeking an Associate Director of Product Marketing to lead the strategic narrative and inbound go-to-market engine for Kikoff, the #1 credit-building app. The company has empowered over 1 million customers and is entering a phase of rapid portfolio expansion. This is a high-impact leadership role for a seasoned Product Marketing Manager (PMM) who thrives in the "upstream" product development process. The role involves partnering with the Product organization to shape future product development through exploratory research and validating product-market fit for new concepts. The goal is to build scalable systems that define how a category leader wins.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Marketing.
  • At least 2+ years of direct people management experience (ideally having managed multiple levels of talent).
  • Sharp inbound instincts: ability to turn customer insights into winning product strategy and validate demand through testing.
  • Strategic ownership: comfortable shaping priorities, making trade-offs, and communicating them clearly to senior leadership.
  • Analytical rigor: fluency in data to inform positioning, pricing, and product direction.
  • Executive presence: ability to navigate high-growth environments, build trust, and influence company direction.
  • Mission alignment: genuine passion for financial health and understanding that company success is tied to customer success.
  • Relevant sector experience: background in Fintech, Consumer Finance, or high-growth B2C. Familiarity with credit, lending, or highly regulated products is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the Strategic Narrative: Lead the development of foundational messaging frameworks and positioning for the product suite, ensuring differentiation, defensibility, and resonance with customer aspirations.
  • Drive Inbound Strategy & Exploration: Spearhead exploratory work to identify market signals before products are built, oversee customer discovery, conduct deep-dive interviews, and translate pain points into product roadmaps.
  • Build Strategic Moats: Drive the design and execution of experiments to optimize pricing, packaging, and positioning, aiming for measurable lifts in activation and monetization.
  • Act as the Cross-Functional Connective Tissue: Align Product, Growth, Design, Data, and Creative teams around high-impact opportunities, drive follow-through, and resolve organizational gaps.
  • Scale a World-Class Team: Manage and mentor a growing team of Product Marketers, focusing on coaching experienced ICs and building a development pipeline for junior talent.
  • Establish Repeatable Excellence: Create playbooks and frameworks to make high-quality product marketing repeatable and scalable as the company transitions to a multi-faceted financial ecosystem.
