About The Position

The Associate Director of Development, College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology, plays a crucial role in advancing Oklahoma State University's mission through philanthropy. This position focuses on building long-term philanthropic partnerships to support the strategic initiatives of the College of Engineering, Architecture & Technology and other university entities. The primary goal is to secure major gifts through personalized donor engagement, fundraising, and stewardship strategies, ultimately transforming the university through the power of generosity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing and communications, nonprofit management, humanities, or related fields required.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years in fundraising, development, major gifts, or relevant professional experience required.
  • Proven sense of humor and ability to have fun!
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via video conferencing.
  • Requires frequent repetitive motions when operating computers, telephones, and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer, attending meetings, or participating in events.
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to approximately 20 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a higher education setting preferred.
  • Fundraising and donor management software experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit and secure major gifts to OSUF with a focus on gifts of $50,000+
  • Manage a portfolio of 60-80 major gift prospects with an affinity for OSU
  • Secure 150+ donor visits annually
  • Complete 10+ major gift solicitations annually (goal to close a minimum of 60% of solicitations at MG $50K+)
  • Responsible for annual production goal of $750k+
  • Maintain accurate donor records and uphold data best practices in OSUF CRM
  • Participate with strategic assistance for college or unit specific donor stewardship or key engagement events
  • Develop and execute established stewardship strategies in partnership with Constituent Relations Associate
  • Build strong relationships with academic leadership, faculty and staff across the OSU System, focusing on School/Center relationships in the College of Engineering, Architecture & Technology
  • Serve as the point person and subject matter expert for multiple Schools/Department within the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology
  • Build partnerships with each School Head or Director and identify fundraising priorities for the area
  • Develop philanthropic strategies that advance the key priorities and mission for each School or Center
  • Strategize and contribute to the development of materials for prospective donors identifying and promoting funding needs and priorities of the assigned Schools/Center
  • Staff campus partner advisory board meetings and select special events, serving as a liaison between the campus and the OSU Foundation
  • Provide information and reporting as needed for meetings and events in this liaison role for campus partners and alumni volunteers
  • Collaborate effectively with other colleges and units to increase donor support
  • Other duties as assigned
