About The Position

The Associate Director of Advancement supports the Office of Advancement by supporting traditional resource development as well as other mission critical functions necessary to effectively compete for philanthropic money and volunteer leadership, manages scholarships and other financial aid offered through or by Antonian, and strategically engages with alumni. The Associate Director of Advancement is committed to supporting an environment of collaboration, stewardship, and exceptional customer service to all stakeholders of the school.

Requirements

  • Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening
  • Must pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screening

  • Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

  • Supports Antonian’s mission in the areas of advancement services, development, donor stewardship, stakeholder relations, and other assignments as deemed appropriate by the Director of Advancement and the school’s executive leadership
  • Assists in prospect research and cultivation intuitiveness with a special emphasis on pursuing strategies to secure and increase giving among a variety of stakeholders
  • Assists in the planning, facilitation, and evaluation of fundraising activities and large-scale events
  • Reports to the Director Of Advancement
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Furthers strategic planning in key ways as identified by the Director of Advancement
  • Attends events to increase Antonian’s visibility among the community and to identify potential new donors and areas for giving
  • Identifies individual donors and potential foundation and corporate gifts
  • Supports all efforts related to capital campaign/endowment
  • Assists the Admissions Director with the day-to-day administration of the admissions process
  • Serves as a welcoming and professional point of contact for prospective students and families.
  • Monitors application completion and follow up with families regarding missing materials and respond to phone calls, emails, and admissions inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Provides families with information about the school, admissions requirements, programs, and procedures.
  • Administers all institutional financial aid scholarships, merit awards, need-based scholarships, endowed scholarships, and other forms of financial assistance.
  • Serves as the school liaison regarding the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit beginning in January 2027 and ensure families are aware of and follow all requirements of the program for successful transfer of funds to the school.
  • Maintains accurate records of scholarship criteria, funding sources, recipients, and award amounts.
  • Coordinates the scholarship application, review, selection, and renewal processes.
  • Monitors scholarship requirements and ensure recipients remain eligible for continued awards.
  • Coordinates donor-funded and named scholarships in accordance with established criteria and donor expectations.
  • Works closely with the Alumni Association, ensuring strong and productive relationships between its members and administrative leadership
  • Plans, implements, and promotes alumni programs; partners with Director of Admissions to spearhead the introduction of alumni involvement in admissions
  • Ensures accurate and complete alumni database records; captures contact, biographical, and career information of alumni via surveys, projects (e.g. alumni directory), correspondence, website, postal returns, etc.
  • Establishes and builds relationships with a wide range of alumni; maintain regular communication with alumni via direct contact, email blasts, alumni web pages, and print publications
  • Collaborates closely with all stakeholders in increasing support from alumni; routinely identifies alumni prospects for gifts
  • Oversees and prudently manages the budget for Alumni Relations; within the annual program budget, manages existing and/or additional alumni programs and services
  • Manages alumni database and ensures data integrity and accuracy.
  • Oversees alumni communications including newsletters, social media, and website content.
