About The Position

At AstraZeneca, we transform ideas into life-changing medicines. We are seeking an Associate Director, Marketing for the respiratory team in Wilmington, DE. This role is pivotal in leveraging our scientific capabilities to positively impact patients' lives. You will be responsible for executing Brand Strategy through leadership in market research, insight generation, brand positioning, messaging, and integrated launch plans. You will foster strong collaborations with marketing peers across consumer/HCP, Corporate Affairs, Medical, Regulatory, and Access teams. Your role will also involve leading specific workstreams and brand opportunities as directed by Marketing Leaders, with accountability for the final output. You will define success metrics, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of: pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional, or related industry experience AND/OR commercial experience.

  • Experience in GI diseases, with Gastro HCPs, and/or GI specialty medicines

Responsibilities

  • Oversee launch readiness and execution for future indications and Life Cycle Management (LCM) activities, including cross-functional team coordination and ensuring alignment of strategic and tactical plans.
  • Develop and deliver disease state engagement strategies and foundational brand campaign plans and messaging in support of new launches.
  • Apply strong foundational skills in HCP marketing activities, including scientific communications, congresses, personal promotion, and non-personal promotion (CRM, omnichannel, etc.).
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the clinical disease state and guidelines, and confidently engage clinicians and external experts in clinical discussions to prepare for launch.
  • Prioritize customer needs and articulate clear value propositions that resonate across segments.
  • Utilize the latest analytical and research techniques to gain deeper insights into customers, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
  • Build compelling brand narratives and assets that differentiate the brand and drive preference.
  • Participate in budget planning, manage operational spend, forecasts, and ROI to achieve financial objectives.
  • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess customer/patient engagement and brand program effectiveness, reporting results and actions.
  • Review market insights, anticipate trends, and map the patient journey using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Translate digital strategies into measurable business outcomes, linking tactics to conversion, engagement, and brand growth.
  • Identify innovative approaches to address market challenges and contribute to the evolution of brand strategies and tactical plans.
