About The Position

We are searching for an experienced Associate Director, Housing Operations at our Goldsmith Campus - Westchester campus. This position provides expanded leadership and supervisory oversight of housing operations, including occupancy management, assignments, facilities coordination, and staff supervision. The Associate Director reports directly to the Director of Residence Life and Housing and will be a live on position. The position builds relationships with faculty, students, staff, and external partners to support effective housing operations and the residential student experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in student affairs operations or residence life, including supervisory experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex administrative systems and lead staff.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily housing operations, including occupancy management, room assignments, contracts, and billing.
Analyze occupancy trends and support housing capacity planning and forecasting.
Coordinate housing opening and closing logistics, including move-in, break periods, and move-out.
Support housing communications and marketing for prospective and returning residents.
Directly supervise the Housing Operations and Summer Programs Coordinator and relevant student staff.
Establish work priorities, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and support staff development.
Assist the Director of Residence Life with policy development, training, and staff development.
Partner with Facilities on maintenance requests, room readiness, and health and safety inspections.
Support summer conference and camp housing logistics in partnership with the Housing Operations and Summer Programs Coordinator.
Coordinate with campus and external partners to resolve operational issues affecting residential facilities and occupancy.
Serve as a key member of the professional on-call duty rotation and provide backup crisis response.
Support timely operational response to residential incidents and emergencies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
