About The Position

Supervised by the Senior Associate Director, the Associate Director for Student Accountability provides leadership in the administration, investigation, and adjudication of complex student conduct matters. This position serves as a senior hearing officer, oversees the Coordinator for Student Accountability, and leads community outreach on behalf of the Office of Student Accountability (OSA). The Associate Director applies educational, restorative, and alternative resolution approaches to address student concerns while ensuring campus safety and supporting victims of crimes of violence. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in higher education, college student personnel, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience working professionally within a student conduct process

Nice To Haves

  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience as a hearing officer within a student conduct process
  • Training and experience utilizing trauma-informed and motivational interviewing techniques
  • Experience working with an educational and restorative approach to student conduct issues
  • Experience adjudicating suspension and expulsion level student conduct cases
  • Experience supervising professional staff members
  • Experience working with students in a variety of situations, including student conduct and student emergencies

Responsibilities
