About The Position

At Kyndryl, an Associate Director, Experience Design will lead design activities connecting insight, imagination, and execution for emerging computing experiences. The role focuses on defining mental models and interaction patterns that enable people to collaborate with autonomous agents, while making complex AI processes understandable and keeping users in control. The position leads user research, journey mapping, and the design of dynamic interfaces that accommodate AI latency, ambiguity, and errors. It also facilitates co-creation workshops and usability testing with creative technologists and AI engineers, and designs human-in-the-loop handoffs that build transparency and trust into automated workflows. The designer advocates for accessibility, inclusion, and ethical AI experiences, and communicates a perspective on agentic AI and human-centered design to build alignment throughout the design lifecycle, from discovery through delivery. Kyndryl describes its workplace as inclusive and offers employee learning programs, access to certification opportunities, and a company-wide volunteering and giving platform.
