Associate Director/Director, Project Development

WunderBoulder, CO, CO
$110,000 - $195,000Onsite

About The Position

Wunder is building a Modern Energy Company to address the climate crisis by accelerating the deployment of solar energy. They help businesses, municipalities, and schools save money by delivering clean on-site power, converting warehouses into electrified industrial platforms, and enabling commercial and industrial real estate firms to capture solar benefits. Wunder is actively developing hundreds of commercial solar projects across the country using a proprietary technology platform to develop solar at scale. The company's average solar system offsets 350,000 pounds of coal burned annually. This role is for a results-oriented professional to join a growing team, solve hard problems, and push renewable energy forward. The ideal candidate works quickly and efficiently, manages projects and teams effectively, and is not afraid of a challenge. The team is rapidly acquiring commercial customers and developing solar nationwide, requiring assistance in scaling commercial solar deployment to gigawatt scale. Initially, the focus will be on Wunder’s Project Development function: driving solar projects forward, unblocking bottlenecks, improving delivery systems, and ensuring outcomes across the national portfolio. Collaboration with execution and technology teams will leverage Wunder’s proprietary software platform to accelerate project delivery, encode learnings, and unlock execution at scale in the commercial & industrial solar sector. The role emphasizes exceeding customer expectations through clear communication, ahead-of-schedule deliverables, thoughtful project plans, and seamless execution. It involves anticipating and mitigating risks to timeline or cost, and identifying patterns and operational insights for portfolio optimization. The candidate will influence and improve how work gets done at Wunder, making it faster, better, and more predictable. This role is for someone excited about unlocking the commercial and industrial solar market, joining a hyper-growth team, and building an organization aimed at saving the world.
