We are seeking an Associate Director, Customer Account Manager (CAM) who excels in collaborative, mission‑driven environments, someone who can navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, bridge technical and business perspectives, and help strengthen enterprise alignment across RTX. This role deepens Raytheon’s engagement with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and supports strategic integration efforts across the company, including the Strategic Fires & Missile Defense Integration initiative. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and 12+ years of professional experience in business management, capability development and portfolio leadership, or enterprise integration or an Advanced Degree and 10+ years’ experience
  • Leadership experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency or other joint defense mission portfolios (e.g., missile defense, joint fires, joint C2, or integrated air and missile defense)
  • Experience shaping or leading advancement across Joint Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) mission threads, guiding cross-domain initiatives involving sensors, effectors, C2, fire control, or system architectures at the enterprise, multi-program, or multi-service level
  • Experience in business development, defense acquisition, program management, or mission-critical functions such as requirements shaping, portfolio planning, cost/schedule management, strategic customer engagement, or capability integration
  • Experience leading multi‑disciplinary, geographically dispersed teams on joint or interagency mission efforts, with responsibility for aligning multiple organizations, coordinating decisions, and routinely engaging senior‑level stakeholders (e.g., O‑6/GS‑15, SES, Flag, COCOM, or OSD)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Top Secret - Current Security Clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

  • Demonstrated impact across defense organizations – such as MDA, joint program offices, service components, or similar partners – shaping decisions, guiding integration efforts, or advancing mission outcomes
  • Ability to lead or significantly contribute to Joint IAMD initiatives that bring together cross-domain capabilities across sensors, effectors, C2, and system-of-systems architectures
  • Proven credibility engaging senior Department of Defense stakeholders to inform strategic choices, resource prioritization, or mission planning for complex defense missions
  • Strong command of defense portfolio processes – including PPBE, cost analysis, milestone frameworks, or acquisition governance – to influence enterprise decisions and positioning
  • Ability to drive alignment across services, interagency partners, or enterprise teams to advance integrated defense solutions, supported by a TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain one) enabling participation in sensitive mission portfolios

Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain trusted relationships across MDA and joint organizations, serving as a primary onsite link to mission priorities and customer needs
  • Represent the customer’s voice across Raytheon, promoting cross-team alignment and a unified One‑RTX approach
  • Support enterprise integration through early requirements framing, mission-informed analysis, and architecture-aligned strategy development
  • Facilitate collaboration across technical, programmatic, and business teams to drive coherent messaging and coordinated pursuit strategies
  • Prepare strategic content for leadership engagements and Gate Reviews with clarity, precision, and alignment to enterprise objectives
  • Represent Raytheon at mission and industry forums that shape the future of Joint IAMD
  • Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions
