CDP’s Sales function is responsible for generating sales of CDP products to new customers, as well as renewing existing customers and identifying greenfield opportunities within the existing book of business. The Sales function is market and customer oriented and establishes go-to market strategies that serve key personas across financial corporates, non-financial corporates, and distributors and channels. The Sales function works closely with M&C and Customer Success to deliver a smooth customer experience. This role will be a key relationship management contact for existing customers and in: Corporates: relationship management including renewals and greenfield sales with corporates providing solutions for disclosure use cases data generation. Financials: relationship management including renewals and greenfield sales with financial institutions focused providing solutions to financial use cases and activating the data. Data and Channels: relationship management including renewals and greenfield sales of environmental data sales to channels including third party distributors, consultants, software and service providers and data houses. ASPs: renewals of ASP program to customers. With particular focus on high-priority, strategic customers in the market. As a generalist, the role acts as the primary point of contact for clients and plays a critical role in driving business development, retention, and revenue growth through renewal activities and greenfield sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in renewals and customer retention, sales, or a related field, preferably within the sustainability sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Customer-centric mindset. Ability to anticipate needs of customers and identify opportunities.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in Selling ideally to financial or non-financial corporates, with an understanding of customers' internal teams responsible for purchase decisions.
  • Relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in one or more local languages.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure customer retention with some of the most high-profile, strategic CDP customers. This involves understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and products of interest for existing customers. Develop greenfield opportunities.
  • Prepare and present compelling business proposals and presentations to existing customers. This includes developing customized solutions that align with client needs and CDP’s value proposition.
  • Be a key influencer with Market Director in Market Renewal Strategies. This includes developing renewals plans, setting targets,and monitoring performance against objectives.
  • Provide Mentoring and Guidance to junior members of the team on strategy development and execution.
  • Renewals negotiations: This includes licence and contract negotiations, understanding core use cases of CDP data.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback. Use this information to inform business development strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting. Ensure that Dynamics 365 (D365) is kept up to date with accurate and timely input to support data- driven decision-making. A proactive and optimistic approach is essential.
  • Track and report on business development activities, including sales performance, pipeline status, and key metrics. Provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Represent CDP at relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. This includes promoting CDP’s services and building relationships with potential customers.
  • Build a strong customer picture across CDP of customer touchpoints; ensure internal communication on customer is up-to-date.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve business development processes and strategies. This includes staying updated on best practices and industry developments.
  • Ensuring you know what is expected of you, through regular 1:1’s, having clear objectives in place, and participating in open and honest performance and development conversations
