Our Opportunity GPJ is hiring an Associate Director, Content & Speaker Services to join our growing team. This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to one of the following office locations a minimum of 2 days/week: Austin, Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Nashville, New York City, or San Francisco. Your Role As an Associate Director on the Content & Speaker Services team you’re responsible as a GPJ manager, content leader and culture contributor; you also monitor workloads and time reporting. You provide coaching, guidance and performance feedback to your direct reports, support staff and to junior team members. You bring deep expertise in content operations and project management, as well as overseeing planning, development, and execution of session logistics and speaker support. You consult on business development, manage client-facing communications, and handle content tools, technical requirements, and session data with precision. As a trusted client partner and team leader, you build strong relationships, train and guide teams, and connect stakeholders and operational touchpoints—especially when changes occur—to streamline delivery and create smoother, more impactful events. As a content ops subject matter expert, you excel at session and speaker management processes, deliver best practices, conduct quality control, testing and analysis. You train and onboard new team members, providing prescriptive recommendations and guiding clients on best practices for efficiency and precision. You support and consult on content development of detailed timelines for deliverables on breakout sessions and speaker components which include Call for Participation, Speaker registration, Voting/Session selection and/or Notification, Speaker Content Portal(SRC), Session Catalog, Agenda Builder. You can advise as well as support other event elements like rooms set up, room capacity management, production AV requirements, technical rehearsal scheduling, session ingress/egress, final presentation file management, content signage, program guides, guided agendas, localization, and more. Your experience in this role allows you to consult on tools set up and process design and workflow. You are knowledgeable about the onsite content process including the set up of a Speaker ready room, tech check, rehearsal management, speaker hospitality, final file management processes, VIP speaker requirements etc and can advise and support the onsite team.
