The Associate Director, Collegiate Veterans Success Center (CVSC) is responsible for the management, oversight, and day-to-day leadership of the CVSC, serving as the University’s engagement and connection hub for veterans and military-connected students. This role involves assisting in the design of strategies aligned with broader university priorities, supervising staff, overseeing operations, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with policies. The position provides individualized support, resource navigation, and advocacy for students, identifies barriers to student success, and convenes partners to recommend improvements. The Associate Director engages with students through various advisory structures and maintains awareness of national trends related to student veterans. Key responsibilities include creating operating procedures, leading continuity planning, and managing grant-funded activities. The role also focuses on military-connected student engagement, experiential learning, leadership and career-readiness initiatives, and community-building programs. Additionally, the Associate Director is responsible for campus education, partnerships, and outreach, developing relationships with various stakeholders to support student success. This includes representing the CVSC on university committees and professional networks. The position also provides administrative and operational support for departmental priorities, advises students and organizations, and conducts research and assessment to improve programs. Collaboration with campus partners is essential for strengthening operations and mitigating risk. The role contributes to the Division of Student Life through active participation in committees and division-wide initiatives.
