About The Position

Launched in September 2025, our location in Brookfield, WI, is already home to top local talent in behavioral health care. This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers are building our adolescent and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and nurses working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade. We are looking for an experienced Associate Director to supervise, manage and mentor therapists across Compass Adult programming/services. In partnership with the rest of the Brookfield Leadership Team, you will play a key role in building and shaping a strong culture at the location, while offering direct coaching and development to our team. Our programs will serve patients across a variety of diagnoses including Mood/Anxiety, OCD/Complex Anxiety, Trauma, and Substance Use.

Requirements

  • Licensed Doctorate Level Psychologist, Masters Level Clinician with clinical license, or a postgraduate degree in a healthcare field
  • Knowledge and experience of group dynamics utilizing CBT, ACT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, among other effective treatments.
  • Experience with patients in crisis.
  • Experience supervising mental health workers, both licensed and seeking licensure.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Strength in collaborating and consulting with various programs and their differing needs
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist Program Director in overseeing quality of care within Adult Programs/Services (Mood and Anxiety, Substance, OCD, and School Refusal)
  • Working closely with Compass’ Center of Excellence team in oversight, implementation and continued development and refinement of program material and group curriculum
  • Oversee and manage primary/family/group therapy operations. This includes administrative responsibilities as well as mentoring, supervising, managing and developing therapists within the program.
  • Perform and support other clinical roles as needed including primary and family therapy
  • Providing clinical supervision for staff working towards licensure
  • Communicate with patients’ family members or support system, as needed
  • Coordinate care with patients’ outside providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Engaging in crisis management, as needed
  • Participating in professional development activities
  • As indicated, participating in community outreach
  • Conducting clinical intakes to identify clinical diagnoses, functional impairment, personal strengths and make treatment recommendations; charting progress of patients appropriately; providing group, individual, and family therapy, as needed
  • Advertise, interview, hire staff, as needed
  • Engage in frequent communication and collaboration with team members via rounds, EMR notes, emails, and face-to-face communication.
  • Support the clinical needs of the site in all programs and roles
