Associate, Digital Marketing & Communications

CADCAAlexandria, VA
$56,000 - $58,000Hybrid

About The Position

CADCA is the premier prevention association in the country, equipping more than 7,000 coalitions across the United States and 28+ countries with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to fight substance misuse and create lasting change. Every graphic you design, every email you send, and every post you publish helps local coalitions reach the people who need them most. We're looking for a creative, organized, and data-minded Associate, Digital Marketing & Communications to help tell that story — across social media, email, web, and beyond. If you love turning complex ideas into content people actually want to engage with, and you get a kick out of watching the analytics prove it worked, we want to meet you.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience (internships count!)
  • Strong graphic design, writing, editing, and digital storytelling chops
  • Experience managing social content, editorial calendars, and performance reporting
  • Comfort with audience data, digital analytics, and juggling multiple platforms
  • Sharp organizational skills and the ability to manage several deadlines at once, across teams
  • A portfolio that shows off your design, writing, social, or multimedia work
  • Applicants must have residency in VA, MD, or DC and be currently authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva, WordPress, Google Analytics, social scheduling tools
  • NetForum and Informz (or similar database/email platforms), including queries, segmentation, and list hygiene
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting and troubleshooting
  • SEO, AI search discoverability, conversion optimization, and Google Ads / Google Ad Grants experience
  • Video production or editing experience
  • Experience in a nonprofit, association, membership, or event marketing setting

Responsibilities

  • Write, schedule, publish, and monitor CADCA's social channels, and build an organization-wide content calendar that keeps campaigns, events, and priorities all moving in sync — with an eye on what's trending.
  • Create social graphics, flyers, infographics, one-pagers, email graphics, presentations, and event materials that keep CADCA's brand sharp, consistent, and accessible.
  • Build, test, schedule, and deploy email campaigns, and partner with the Membership team to segment audiences, clean data, and keep distribution lists accurate across our AMS and email platform.
  • Research new audience segments, track performance across social, email, and web, and turn what you learn into recommendations that make the next campaign better than the last. Keep UTMs, links, and conversion tracking in order.
  • Make routine WordPress updates using best practices for SEO, AI-driven search discoverability, accessibility, and conversion.
  • Support the optimization of CADCA's Google Ad Grants campaigns and contribute to integrated marketing efforts, including video and multimedia projects.
  • Manage timelines, coordinate reviews and approvals, and proofread everything that goes out the door — because details matter when you're representing a national movement.
  • Occasional travel or after-hours work may be needed around our signature events.

Benefits

  • Excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous paid time off and holidays
