We achieve that mission through excellence in our work investigating and prosecuting crime, supporting victims and their families, working with the community to prevent crime, and providing fair alternatives to incarceration in appropriate cases. This position is collecting applications for this role, however, this is an at will appointed position by the Denver District Attorney, John Walsh. Deputy District Attorneys assigned to the Organized Crime Unit represent the People of the State of Colorado in complex criminal prosecutions, including organized crime, gang-related violence, large-scale drug distribution, racketeering, conspiracy, and coordinated multi-defendant cases. They also provide legal counsel to state and federal law enforcement agencies across the Denver Metro Area and work closely with such investigative partners to target, develop, coordinate, and oversee long-term investigations that lead to case filing and prosecution. The working environment includes a fast‑paced, high‑stakes work where at times work may require long or irregular hours, including evenings or weekends.
