About The Position

Valley Brook Family Dental is a close-knit, community-focused practice that prides itself on providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We operate in a warm, welcoming environment where quality is valued over volume. We are seeking an Associate Dentist who is passionate about clinical excellence and relationship-driven care. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth under the guidance of our Owner Doctor, who is committed to providing active mentorship while allowing the associate full autonomy in patient care. With a supportive clinical team-including two dedicated, full-time hygienists-we provide a stable and collaborative "dental home" for our staff and patients alike.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from an accredited program.
  • Active state dental license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • A collaborative spirit, a desire for mentorship, and a commitment to high-quality, ethical dentistry.

  • Additional certifications (e.g., Nitrous, Laser, etc.) are welcomed and encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of oral health conditions, including restorative needs, gum disease, and infections.
  • Perform a wide range of procedures: fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, and extractions.
  • Utilize advanced technology to provide same-day dentistry for restorative work (crowns and bridges).
  • Examine X-rays and diagnostic tests to develop and present comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer local anesthesia and ensure patient comfort and pain management.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care to ensure long-term health.
  • Clearly explain treatment options, risks, and benefits in a patient-friendly manner.
  • Build lasting relationships to improve case acceptance and patient retention.
  • Work closely with our experienced hygienists and assistants to deliver seamless care.
  • Supervise and support the clinical team, fostering a positive and productive office culture.
  • Collaborate with specialists (orthodontists, oral surgeons, periodontists) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough patient records and adhere to all HIPAA and OSHA protocols.
  • Monitor production goals and contribute to the growth and efficiency of the practice.
  • Stay current with dental advancements through continuing education (CE) and active licensure.
