About The Position

42 North Dental is hiring a full-time general dentist for its established practice in Enfield, Connecticut. The Dentist is responsible for the full clinical patient experience, from the initial examination and treatment planning through delivery of care. The practice has a strong flow of new patients and offers in-office specialty services including periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics. The schedule is four to five days per week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation is a daily guarantee or up to 36% of collections, with an annual rate listed as $200,000–$250,000 USD and a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (ADA CODA).
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patients’ oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review, maintain, and update patients’ medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret X-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor the growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide appropriate restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone, and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients.
• Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism.
• Keep abreast of new developments, technologies, best practices, and standards of care through continuing education and professional development.
