About The Position

We’re looking for a passionate, patient-focused Associate Dentist to join our dynamic team at Maxwell Dental, a proud part of Passion Dental Group. Specifics about the role: Job Type: Full Time Schedule: Mondays 10:00-6:00 Tuesdays 8:30-4:30 Wednesdays 8:30-4:30 Thursdays 10:00-6:00 One Saturday per month Mentorship and CE opportunities Compensation: We pay 40% on collections This is a commission-based independent contractor opportunity for associate dentists providing professional services to our practice. Engagement terms and compensation will be governed by an executed independent contractor agreement. This is not an employee position.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of clinical experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply
  • A valid license to practice dentistry in the Province of Alberta, in good standing with the relevant regulatory body
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you’re someone who puts patients at ease and connects easily with colleagues
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to balance thorough care and efficient delivery
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask while keeping patient care at the heart of everything you do
  • A team-first mindset and a genuine interest in contributing to a collaborative and caring workplace culture

Responsibilities

  • Conduct dental examinations and assessments to evaluate patients’ oral health and support the development of appropriate, patient-centered treatment plans.
  • Provide general dental care for patients of all ages — including preventive, restorative, and basic surgical procedures — while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient.
  • Administer local anesthesia safely and effectively to support restorative and minor surgical treatments.
  • Perform restorations (fillings), simple extractions, and other routine procedures within your scope of practice, with guidance and mentorship available for more complex cases.
  • Educate patients and families on oral hygiene, prevention, and long-term maintenance strategies to promote lifelong dental health.
  • Collaborate closely with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members to deliver seamless, efficient, and compassionate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation using the dental software system.
  • Participate in mentorship and continuing education opportunities to build confidence, expand your skill set, and grow as a practitioner within a supportive family practice environment.
