About The Position

Thriving, digital, seven op Evanston dental practice is seeking a talented General Dentist to start in June or July. The ideal dentist candidate is a skilled provider focused on providing excellent comprehensive dentistry and is a positive impact to the employee culture. The practice is located a half a mile from the Northwestern University campus, right in the heart of the vibrant northside community of Chicago.

Requirements

  • Active IL dental license (and malpractice insurance).
  • Willingness to comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding dental and healthcare.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to keep detailed records.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, tools, thorough tx planning skills.
  • Strong inter-personal and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to manage dental complications for any procedure performed on a patient.
  • Ability to adapt to Dentologie’s learning environment and be willing to accept constructive feedback and guidance - eager to further enhance your skillset.

Nice To Haves

  • Implant placement/advanced certification if placing implants or performing specialty work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation with patients and discuss and treat dental concerns, perform regular cleanings and other preventative procedures, and establish a comprehensive treatment plan for better dental hygiene and positive restorative outcomes.
  • Perform dental procedures, such as extractions, root canals, and filling cavities.
  • Correct bite issues and overcrowding.
  • Apply preventative measures for teeth, such as sealants or whiteners.
  • Prescribe medications such as pain medications or antibiotics.
  • Utilize tools such as drills, probes, brushes, to examine and treat teeth.
  • Keep accurate records relating to the patient's oral health and the tx rendered to them.
  • Manage positively and communicate with team to provide outstanding care to patients.
  • Diagnose, tx plan, and diagnose oral disease and oral manifestation of systemic diseases.
  • Routine follow-up with patients whom you’ve provided treatment via phone or email.
  • Manage both patient experiences and patient expectations to create a positive outcome.

  • Pay: 32.5% adjusted net production (w/initial daily rate)
  • Signing bonus: $5,000.00 (least 1 year experience)
  • Annual earnings of $254,000 (avg, 1st year)
