Under the direction of a designated Dean of Instruction, the Interim Associate Dean, Instruction, is responsible for developing, coordinating, administrating, and operating assigned instructional programs and campus initiatives. This role involves supporting the Dean of Instruction by administering District policy regarding assigned instructional programs, providing assistance in the performance evaluation of faculty and classified personnel, and assisting in the administration of College policy with respect to faculty load and scheduling. The position also coordinates fall, spring, and summer scheduling and staff assignments, and works with faculty chairs in the recruitment, selection, orientation, and evaluation of adjunct faculty. Additionally, the Interim Associate Dean supports the Dean in developing and monitoring the annual budget and expenditures, provides administrative oversight of curriculum maintenance, and offers instructional leadership for assigned College initiatives. The role also includes promoting and marketing the College image, articulating academic programs, and serving on College and District committees.
