Interested in joining us on our journey? The Associate Commodity Buyer, Stampings supports the execution of sourcing strategies across assigned stamping categories. This role assists in managing cost, supplier performance, and category-related activities while working closely with category buyers and cross-functional teams. The Associate Commodity Buyer, Stampings contributes to sourcing initiatives by performing analysis, coordinating supplier activities, and supporting new product introductions. This role is important as a team member in ensuring effective execution of sourcing processes and maintaining strong supplier and internal partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or related roles (internships/co-ops included).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database tools.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 5–10% (domestic and occasional international travel for supplier and plant visits).

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or co-op experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related fields.
  • Exposure to supplier management, RFQ processes, cost analysis, or purchasing activities.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams, projects, or program-related work.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, reporting systems, or Excel-based analysis.
  • Exposure to or willingness to learn Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and analytics to support procurement activities, supplier performance tracking, and cost analysis.
  • Academic project, internship, or early career experience supporting sourcing, purchasing, or New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Exposure to or experience working with global suppliers or supply chains.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of sourcing initiatives for stamping categories by assisting with data analysis, supplier coordination, and project tracking.
  • Develop and maintain a basic understanding of stamping technologies, materials, supplier capabilities, and market trends to support sourcing activities.
  • Assist in managing supplier interactions by supporting performance tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Prepare RFQs, cost analyses, and supporting documentation to assist in supplier negotiations and contract implementation.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams to support sourcing execution and new product introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Support sourcing projects aimed at improving material cost, quality, delivery, and working capital by tracking progress and analyzing results.
  • Assist in gathering supplier ideas and supporting initiatives that drive cost efficiencies and product improvements.
  • Help coordinate communication between sourcing, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to support alignment on timelines and deliverables.
  • Support plant operations by helping track and communicate supply issues and assisting with follow-up actions with suppliers.
  • Assist with material cost estimating, reporting, data management, and Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) administration.
