Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Exchange Automation Support Engineer with a strong background in Exchange Online and proven expertise in automating processes using cloud-based tools. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain automation solutions leveraging Azure Functions, Azure Automation, Power Automate, Logic Apps, and PowerShell Graph API. This role requires deep knowledge of Microsoft Graph API, OAuth flows, and integration with Dataverse or SQL Server for logging and reporting. The person in this role will be on call, as needed after hours, to support a business-critical application.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of related experience required.
  • Strong expertise in Exchange Online administration and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Functions (critical), Azure Automation, Power Automate, and Logic Apps.
  • Mandatory experience with PowerShell Graph API for automation. Azure Cloud, and M365 Purview
  • Proficient in App Registration setup, including secrets, certificates, and App Protection Policies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Graph API, including permissions and consent models.
  • Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0 flows and token-based authentication.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dataverse or SQL Server for data logging and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Function App architecture, runtime configurations, JSON, and module management.
  • Skilled in using Application Insights for monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Possesses strong technical aptitude.
  • Intermediate experience with: public and/or private cloud service offerings, creation and distribution of images, programming and scripting languages.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of: infrastructure and configuration as code solutions, configuration management software.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate experience interacting with systems and enterprise architects, executive and senior management stakeholders, business units, and developers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation solutions for Exchange Online using Azure Functions and related services.
  • Automate Exchange Online tasks using PowerShell Graph API and scripting best practices.
  • Configure and manage App Registrations including secrets, certificates, and App Protection Policies to secure applications.
  • Implement and troubleshoot Microsoft Graph API integrations, ensuring proper permissions and consent flows.
  • Design and manage OAuth authentication flows for secure app-to-service communication.
  • Integrate automation workflows with Microsoft Dataverse or SQL Server for logging and auditing actions.
  • Configure and optimize Function Apps, including runtime settings, environment variables, JSON configurations, and module installations.
  • Monitor and analyze application performance using Application Insights, including metrics, invocation issues, and custom/managed modules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, scalability, and security of automation solutions.
