As an Associate, Client Data & Process Automation, you will be responsible for executing data management and data analysis activities in support of Client Data Strategy and Regulatory initiatives. The objective is to ensure data produced by Capital Markets business and support groups is accurate, complete and reusable to fulfill all downstream reporting purposes, including but not limit to regulatory trade reporting obligations. The incumbent will help support all business intelligence and data analytics to support BAU and senior management decisions on its operations and data management capabilities. Process automation support to transform existing process will be executed through this team. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, and/or similar field.
  • Experience with data management.
  • Familiarity with Capital Markets business and product knowledge to easily understand the risk requirements of simple and complex deal structures.
  • Strong data management experience.
  • Ability to drive results and find efficiencies.
  • Excellent technology application adaptation to leverage technology.
  • Very strong use of SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Python, Excel, Databricks, Power Automate, SharePoint & Microsoft Power Suite is required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute data management and data analysis activities in support of Client Data Strategy and Regulatory initiatives.
  • Ensure data produced by Capital Markets business and support groups is accurate, complete and reusable for downstream reporting purposes, including regulatory trade reporting obligations.
  • Support business intelligence and data analytics for BAU and senior management decisions on operations and data management capabilities.
  • Execute process automation support to transform existing processes.
  • Work with stakeholders (Client Services, Technology, Client Management Services, Regulatory Operations, Regulatory Change Management) to support an overall client data management strategy (client onboarding and client data management including AML/KYC, trade & regulatory attributes).
  • Support and execute data extraction, analysis, reporting, dashboarding, and automation.
  • Partner with Technology to implement client data management tools and enhancements.
  • Provide project management support to Client Data Management and Regulatory Remediation initiatives.
  • Effectively manage relationships with internal clients and stakeholders Technology and Operations stakeholders.
  • Comply with all applicable CIBC and line of business policies, standards, guidelines and controls.
