About The Position

Claims Examiner Tokio Marine HCC – Surety Group, a member of the Tokio Marine Group of Companies, has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Claims Examiner position on-site at our office in Los Angeles, California. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team of highly skilled claims examiners who are part of a successful division that specializes in surety bond business. Requirements

Up to two years of relevant professional experience
Customer service mindset – consistently courteous
Quick to understand technical information and legal jargon
Excellent writing skills
Strong analytical skills
Teamwork, planning, and organizational skills
Facility with using multiple systems, programs, and tracking information
Good investigative instincts
Highly skilled with written communications, grammar, spelling, and syntax

Responsibilities

Objectively investigate and analyze surety bond claims.
Learn about our company and the basics of surety bonds – what we do, our systems and processes, and the members of our team.
Understand surety bonds, claims concepts, and terminology.
Effectively evaluate straightforward surety bond claims.
With a customer service mindset, be responsible for your own caseload – investigate, analyze, and effectively communicate written determinations of claims.
Strengthen your analytical, and oral and written communications skills to be able to handle more intricate and complex claims.
