As a Claims Examiner, you will be responsible for managing and resolving medical professional liability claims, providing exceptional customer service, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claims management and resolution.

Requirements

  • Proficient in managing client claims through thorough investigation, interpretation of coverage, and strategic claim resolution
  • Skilled in leading claim reviews and educating clients and teams on best practices, with a strong ability to participate in client meetings, mediations, and settlement conferences, to deliver tailored claims results
  • Experienced in managing outside defense counsel, establishing timely and accurate indemnity and expense reserves, following client service workflows, utilizing internal resources for enhanced efficiency, maintaining accurate claim files, and ensuring data completeness by consistently meeting timelines and quality standards

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in claims handling within an agency or insurance carrier
  • BS/BA in Business, Insurance or related field
  • NY Adjuster License
  • AIC, SCLA or other related professional designation
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
