The Associate Division Chief of Academic Affairs, Pulmonary Division, coaches individuals (attending physicians, fellows, APPs, Nurses and RCTs) to develop, maintain and execute their strategic career plan and goals in education and research. Provides resources, make connections, and empower individual faculty members and trainees to problem-solve, contribute and organize their educational and research activities. Works closely with the Fellowship Director in establishing and enhancing the training curriculum for fellows in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. Ensures that fellows receive adequate supervision in their research and that their SOCs are meeting and reviewing their progress regularly. Serves as a liaison to the Chief of the division about all academic matters.
