About The Position

At Joseph’s Classic Market, our Cashiers are more than just register operators — they are the final interaction customers have before leaving the store. That makes this role incredibly important in creating a positive, lasting impression. With every friendly greeting, accurate transaction, and thoughtful farewell, you help shape how customers feel about their entire shopping experience. In addition to delivering exceptional service, Cashiers ensure accurate pricing and transactions, playing a key role in protecting the store’s profitability and operational integrity. As a Cashier Associate, you’ll develop strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills while learning front-end operations and cash-handling procedures. Many of our supervisors and managers began in entry-level roles, and we’re committed to supporting team members who demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a desire to grow their careers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math and reading skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
• A passion for serving people

Nice To Haves

• Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer service that meets the Joseph’s Classic Market standard
• Weigh, scan, and accurately ring up products
• Accept various forms of payment and provide correct change
• Handle cash, credit, and other tender types with accuracy
• Bag products efficiently and safely
• Keep the register area clean and organized at all times
• Assist with other tasks as assigned
