About The Position
The Associate Carpenter is responsible for assisting the construction and facilities services staff with all aspects of constructing and remodeling. This role involves assisting with various installation tasks and ensuring a safe working environment, especially in patient care areas.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Trade or Vocational School preferred.
- When applicable, may need a valid driver's license.
- If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record.
Responsibilities
- Assist with flooring, ceiling installation and systems, cabinets and millwork, wall protection, doors and hardware, wall covering removal, marker boards, tack boards, modular furniture, clocks, and interior signage.
- Install cabinets, siding, drywall and batt or roll insulation.
- Basic knowledge of standard hand tool operation.
- Take extra precautions when working in patient care areas and specifically, keep tools out of reach of children.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
