About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time Dispatchers to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services. The role assigns and routes transportation requests and communicates clearly in all situations to provide quality support and care to customers. Dispatchers use communication and information management systems to support providers, facilities, and member representatives. Hourly rates start at $17.00+, depending on experience (DOE).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Some work experience; experience in dispatch or routing calls in customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to calls and emails using established call-handling timeframes and communication and information management systems.
• Schedule, assign, review, and route transportation requests using appropriate methods.
• Document communications clearly in accordance with protocols and processes, and identify and escalate issues as necessary.
• Communicate trip data, including confirmations, routing time, issues, and performance.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and coworkers.
• Demonstrate organization, multitasking, and time management skills.
