About The Position

The Associate Business Analyst role will have a direct influence on designing business processes and solutions to support business groups for platforms used by thousands of sales associates across the United States, which will ultimately help ensure millions of patients will have access to our life saving products. The Business Analyst has experience contributing business analysis, design, and test activities to a large scale/global business change or delivering small scale business change alone. The Business Analyst operates with interactive communication, demonstrating inclusion and cultural sensitivity. The role will partner with the Capability Lead, Business Partner, or other Business Analyst colleagues to support the development of business cases, assist in business process design, and ensure that proposed solutions meet established AstraZeneca quality and compliance standards and business solution needs. The Business Analyst will be interacting and working with commercial colleagues and stakeholders directly to support and influence solutions to meet business needs.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated work as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience of using current business analysis tools and techniques to design and deliver business change.
• Strong engagement, communication and facilitation skills including storyboarding, presentation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive an assessment of business need and areas for improvement.
• Proactively seek opportunities to enhance and improve in line with strategic goals, proposing potential solutions through research.
• Characterize a solution or initiative’s complexity, risks, known assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
• Scope and recommend appropriate approaches.
• Plan, sequence, and coordinate activities to meet deliverables and deadlines.
• Effectively identify stakeholders and maintain relationships according to individual stakeholder needs and levels of influence.
• Compile communication and change management plans for projects and stakeholders.
• Coordinate/develop requirement plans including user story sessions, approvals, RAID and scope impacts.
• Ensure traceability, testing and validation.
• Collaborate with business colleagues to identify functional and technical requirements.
• Partner the architecture team to ensure the technical solution will deliver the agreed business benefits.
• Coordinate/support business case definition and capture investment business justification including ROI and benefits realization plans.
• Assess solution proposals and articulate supporting arguments for a recommended solution.
• Work collaboratively with other IT roles to develop/maintain business relationships, support business process change and act as point of contact for application development.
• Work with business colleagues to identify business requirements and effectively communicate the impact, cost, and benefits of new or changed solutions.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing.
• Support process owners to identify and devise solutions that optimize business process performance, capability, and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with IT architecture, delivery, and support/operations to ensure clear understanding of all requirements and effective testing.
• Work collaboratively with or take responsibility for the following roles: Project Managers/Scrum Lead, Test Lead, Change Management/Communications Lead, Business Partners/BRM.
• Set the right expectations on timeline for business solution delivery.
• Ensure risks are tracked and communicated effectively with the correct stakeholder group.
• Define the testing approach and the components of testing to ensure traceability of requirements and effectiveness of overall solution.
• Ensure the Change Management and Communications plans according to the Stakeholder Analysis.
• Work collaboratively and support business partners/BRMs to evaluate, design and communicate business process changes, business solution options and considerations to stakeholder groups.
