About The Position

Burns & Wilcox is seeking an Associate Broker to broker and supervise a portion of a Broker’s book of business, with a focus on renewals, while supporting new business development. The role includes preparing submissions for insurance markets, securing quotes, maintaining strong client and agent relationships, and helping Brokers develop and execute marketing plans. The Associate Broker also helps ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, company policies, procedures, and contract terms, and may mentor and train Assistant Brokers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Broker support or industry experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing.
• Proven organizational skills and ability, with strong attention to detail.
• Interest in continued education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Broker and supervise a portion of a Broker’s book of business, focused on but not limited to renewals.
• Prepare submissions for markets and secure quotes.
• Maintain excellent client and agent relationships.
• Assist Brokers in developing and executing marketing plans to drive new and renewal business, including in-person agency visits, telemarketing, and distributing marketing materials.
• Supervise execution of company underwriting guidelines, corporate policies and procedures, and compliance with contract terms.
• Mentor and train Assistant Brokers as needed.
