About The Position

Burns & Wilcox is seeking an Associate Broker with an entrepreneurial spirit and drive for career advancement. Associate Brokers broker and supervise a portion of a Broker’s book of business and support renewal and new business development. The role focuses on specialty insurance and includes supporting brokers, maintaining client and agent relationships, and helping develop business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Broker support or industry experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing.
• Proven organizational skills and ability, with strong attention to detail.
• Interest in continued education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Broker and supervise a portion of a Broker’s book of business, focused on but not limited to renewals.
• Prepare submissions for markets and secure quotes.
• Maintain excellent client and agent relationships.
• Assist Brokers in developing and executing marketing plans to drive new and renewal business, including in-person agency visits, telemarketing, and distributing marketing materials.
• Supervise execution of company underwriting guidelines, corporate policies and procedures, and compliance with contract terms.
• Mentor and train Assistant Brokers as needed.
