About The Position

The Technology Services team provides essential support to our employees, ensuring all computing and collaboration tools function efficiently. The Associate AV Specialist is the foundational support layer for our AV and meeting room technology. This role is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and rapid resolution of basic technical issues related to AV equipment, ensuring a seamless experience for all internal customers. This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday, at our corporate HQ in Tempe, Arizona. Occasional after-hours work is required to support scheduled corporate communications events and ad-hoc on-call coverage for critical AV incidents; cell phone reimbursement is provided for on-call eligible roles.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the technical support or customer service field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic technical support and troubleshooting (e.g., service desk functions).
  • Experience troubleshooting AV equipment such as HD TVs or Projectors.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Valid and current driver’s license (due to travel between Phoenix locations).

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming Service Desk tickets related to meeting rooms, projectors, TVs, and basic AV systems.
  • Provide high-quality, hands-on support for AV related issues.
  • Conduct daily checks and physical floor walks to proactively identify and resolve common technical issues before they impact meetings.
  • Assist with the physical setup, inventory, and lifecycle management of AV equipment, including asset tagging and equipment delivery.
  • Use communication tools and internal documentation to diagnose problems, gather information, and identify quick solutions.
  • Log all incidents and requests accurately in ServiceNow (SNOW), with detailed notes; document project tasks in Jira when assigned.
  • Learn and execute basic, documented AV maintenance and troubleshooting procedures (e.g., rebooting, basic cable testing, peripheral connection checks).
  • Serve as a resource for questions and provide prompt, professional communication to end-users.
  • Assist with after-hours coverage for major corporate events and ad-hoc on-call support for critical AV incidents, as directed.
  • Other tasks as needed
