About The Position

Kelley Kronenberg’s West Palm Beach office is looking for an Associate Attorney to join a small, high-performing Workers’ Compensation Defense unit. Because the group is compact, you’ll work in close, regular contact with the Managing Partner — not just for case sign-off, but for real strategy conversations that sharpen your skills faster than a larger department typically allows. We’re looking for a litigator with at least two years of defense litigation experience; a workers’ compensation background is preferred but not required for someone ready to build deep expertise in the practice. This is a rare opportunity to work in close proximity to firm leadership early in your career. As part of a small unit, you’ll get consistent one-on-one time with the Managing Partner, exposure to high-level strategy, and a clear track for advancement as you take on more responsibility.

Requirements

At least 2 years of defense litigation experience; workers’ compensation experience strongly preferred.
Juris Doctor and active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
Sound legal judgment, strong writing ability, and confidence managing a docket independently.
Comfort working in a small, tightly connected team where input from leadership is frequent.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience specifically in workers’ compensation defense.
Openness to a hybrid or remote work arrangement when the caseload allows.

Responsibilities

Manage a defense caseload from intake through resolution with day-to-day autonomy.
Partner directly with the Managing Partner to shape litigation approach and case theory.
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and depositions.
Review medical records and evidence to build well-supported defense positions.
Maintain proactive contact with clients, carriers, and employers as matters progress.
