About The Position

HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Associate Attorney to join one of our valued client partners. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this litigation-focused legal role. Position Overview This Associate Attorney will manage litigation matters from early case assessment through resolution. The role requires direct responsibility for pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, court appearances, and client communication. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning files, managing deadlines, and operating in a structured litigation environment. This position demands strong courtroom readiness, disciplined case management skills, and demonstrated experience handling complex matters in state and federal courts.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active Colorado law license in good standing
  • Minimum of 3+ years of litigation experience
  • Deposition experience (taking and defending)
  • Motion drafting experience, including dispositive motions
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Experience managing an active caseload independently
  • Stable employment history with minimal job changes
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Denver, CO
  • English proficiency required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial litigation, construction litigation, or insurance-related litigation
  • Experience handling first- and third-party claims
  • Background in personal injury, premises liability, or bad faith litigation
  • Federal court experience
  • Comfort utilizing modern legal technology platforms

Responsibilities

  • Manage a litigation caseload independently with partner oversight
  • Conduct case investigations and early liability assessments
  • Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Prepare discovery requests and responses
  • Represent clients at hearings in state and federal court
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
  • Provide strategic recommendations to clients during pre-litigation and litigation phases
  • Coordinate with experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Maintain compliance with court deadlines and procedural rules
