About The Position

The firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its Massachusetts consumer protection practice. The role handles a broad range of transactional and civil litigation matters involving consumer protection, including claims related to contract law and other areas of consumer law. The attorney will manage a diversified client caseload and communicate with the New York-based main office exclusively by telephone and electronic means, such as email and Microsoft Teams. The position is based from home, with travel required for in-court appearances. Candidates must currently be located in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

Requirements

Currently admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.
At least 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
Currently located in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels.
Strong legal research skills.
Willingness to take on a heavy workload.

Responsibilities

Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of the firm’s clients in Massachusetts.
Communicate with clients regarding their matters.
Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review and draft agreements.
Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
Travel for in-court appearances.
Communicate with the firm’s main office by telephone and electronic means.
