About The Position
Hupy and Abraham S.C., an AV-rated personal injury law firm, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney (Non-litigation) for its Madison office. Associate Attorneys in this role support litigation attorneys through legal document production, case law research, and screening new client calls. The role also includes trial preparation and other duties assigned by a litigation attorney.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Eligible for or in the process of taking the Wisconsin Bar Exam, or licensed by the Wisconsin State Bar
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills
- Innovative problem resolution skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Draft summonses, complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings
- Conduct legal research
- Write briefs
- Screen potential clients
- Assist with trial preparation
- Perform other duties as assigned by a litigation attorney
