About The Position

Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP is seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join their award-winning team in their Newport Beach headquarters. This is a mid-sized law firm recognized for its sixth consecutive year as a Best Law Firm® by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Lawyers®. As an integral member of the litigation team, the Associate Attorney will gain immediate hands-on experience handling a variety of litigation matters involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and more. From inception to resolution, the Associate Attorney will have the opportunity to handle every aspect of their cases including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial. The Associate Attorney will have the chance to work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations. This role offers an excellent platform for professional growth, as the Associate Attorney will collaborate closely with team members and have the opportunity to be mentored by experienced partners.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment. (Newly licensed attorneys welcome to apply)
  • Skilled in conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, propounding and responding to discovery, as well as interfacing directly with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills along with a client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.
  • Desire and/or ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Current admission to the California State Bar is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and attending mediations, preferred.
  • Trial experience is a plus!
